Sacred Connections: The Pulse of the Community

Lift Up the Word – Lift up the World
When you pray, He listens.

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think”

Ephesians 3:20

As we step into March, we are reminded of God’s limitless power and faithfulness. He works through us in ways beyond what we can imagine, using our hands, hearts, and prayers to bring healing, hope, and transformation. This month, let us pray with expectation, trusting that He is moving in ways greater than we could ever ask or think.

Thank you for joining us in prayer as we seek His guidance, strength, and provision for the work ahead. May we continue to be vessels of His love, knowing that He is accomplishing more than we can see.

Praise God for his Provision!

This month, we thank God for His perfect provision, ensuring that help arrived exactly when it was needed. His timing is always faithful, and through His grace, lives were changed in powerful ways.

A Perfectly Timed Wheelchair – A woman in Icoteas desperately needed a wheelchair. When she visited the first clinic in February, the provider submitted a medical referral. Amazingly, when the next team arrived, their leader had been sending wheelchairs and was able to deliver one to her. What a beautiful example of God meeting needs right on time!

An Unlikely Rescue – When the team’s bus got stuck in the mud, three vehicles attempted to help—one even lost its bumper. Then, at just the right moment, a Pepsi truck passed by. Its weight was enough to pull the bus free, allowing the team to reach the clinic and serve those in need. God’s provision sometimes comes in the most unexpected ways!

Life-Saving Care for Noe – Four-year-old Noe was severely injured in a motorcycle accident late at night. By God’s grace, the medical mission team was stationed in Limón and ready to help. They stabilized him and provided funds for transportation to a hospital over an hour away, ensuring he received the urgent care he needed.

Healing for Injured Workers – Many men in Chapagua work with metal and suffer eye injuries, often leaving metal fragments in their eyes because medical care is not easily accessible. In God’s perfect timing, two eye surgeons were part of last week’s team, providing much-needed treatment to these men.

We praise God for His faithfulness, for the hands that serve, and for the divine appointments that allow people to receive care just when they need it most. Thank you for your continued prayers and support—you are a vital part of this mission!

Please Pray With Us

Medical Mission Teams

As we continue our mission, we ask for your prayers for the teams serving in Honduras this month and for those preparing to go in the months ahead.

The Colby team arrived safely in Honduras Friday after being rescheduled due to anticipated political unrest surrounding the Honduran Presidential Primary Election. This team of 16 includes 10 members who are new to mission work in Honduras. Pray for their safety, strength, and open hearts as they provide medical care to those in need.

The Barnes/Johnson team from West Virginia will depart on March 21st for their mission week. With 14 members—half of whom are first-time volunteers—pray for their journey, their work, and the lives they will touch.

This year, assembling teams has been challenging, as five of our regular team leaders had scheduling conflicts. Three teams are still working hard to fill open spots so that we can continue to offer care. Please pray that willing hearts step forward to serve on the upcoming teams scheduled for May 9, July 11, and September 19.

Thank you for lifting these teams in prayer as they answer the call to serve. May God bless their work and provide for every need!

Prayer Requests for Upcoming Patient Visits

We ask for your prayers for these upcoming medical visits, trusting that God will provide healing, wisdom for the doctors, and peace for the patients and their families.

March 17th Vein Clinic – Please pray for the 31 patients traveling to the Vein Clinic, provided by a partner mission. May they receive the care they need, and may God guide the hands of the HPP Foundation mission team as they serve.

Individual Patient Appointments – Please lift up the following patients in prayer as they seek medical care:

  • Angel M. – Neurology appointment in Tocoa
  • Maria P. – EKG test
  • Emelyn D. – Pediatric cardiology visit
  • Jose C. – Echocardiogram in La Ceiba
  • Eldi M. – X-ray in Tocoa
  • Carolina J. – Specialist appointment for a pelvic ultrasound

May each patient experience God’s provision, comfort, and healing as they receive care. Thank you for keeping them in your prayers!

How Can We Pray for You?

Your prayers and support mean the world to us, and we are so grateful for your commitment to this mission. But friendship is a two-way street, and we want to lift you up in prayer just as you do for us!

Please let us know how we can pray for you. Send your prayer requests via email, and our staff will be honored to pray for you. Together, we can support and encourage one another in faith!

As always, please lift us up prayers for:

CHHF Committees – Please pray for our CHHF Committees as they continue their important work. We are in the process of developing a Young Professionals Board to train and equip the next generation of mission leaders. Pray that God brings passionate individuals who will carry this mission forward with wisdom and dedication.

Our Medical Mission Partners – Around the world, medical mission teams are working tirelessly to bring healing and hope to those in need. Please pray for our mission friends and partners, that they may have the resources, strength, and support to continue their life-changing work. These partnerships are vital, as together, we can reach more people and make a greater impact. May God bless and sustain all those who serve.

Safety and Health – We continue to lift up our friends in Honduras and the United States, praying for their safety, health, and well-being. May God’s protection and provision be upon them, guiding and strengthening them each day.

Thank you for joining us in prayer—your faith and support make all the difference!

Thank you for faithfully supporting CHHF.
