Your attention to providing quality care to patients in Honduras is evident every day.
Teenage boys get hurt all the time, but in March, when 14-year-old Deiver came into the clinic after a
motorcycle accident, his knee was deeply cut from one side to the other. The message received from the doctor was, “there were so many stitches, we stopped counting.”
The mission team administered antibiotics and gave strict instructions on wound care, including when Deiver needed to return to the clinic for a check-up.
A wound that large needs close monitoring, so during the next week, Deiver was checked by the telemed nurse in Honduras. When the next team arrived, they were able to remove the stitches and ensure there were no further issues.
Because of your support and commitment to quality, continuous care, this teenage boy had access to the facility and medical attention he needed, when he needed it most!
