Setting Sites on Expanding Vision Care

From Our Spring Newsletter

Whether it be the need for injury, cataracts, glaucoma, pterygium, or even simple reading glasses, the need for vision care in Honduras is evident. There are no options physically close to the Dept. of Colon, which adds to the inaccessibility and cost.

For patients like Samuel, the lack of vision care is devastating. At only 24-years-old, years of working outside had left him with a severe case of pterygium, leaving him almost blind in his right eye.

Samuel never thought he would be able to have his pterygium removed. He could not afford the transportation nor the cost of the surgery. But your commitment to the care of people in rural
Honduras would not let that happen!

Sanuel came through his pterygium surgery “with flying colors” which he will now be able to see clearly!
