We are grateful to be in the season of Thanksgiving. There is so much to be thankful for this year – and over the last few weeks. Take a look…
Tropical Storm Sara Update
Last weekend, Tropical Storm Sara swept across the northern coast of Honduras, leaving widespread devastation in its wake. While the flooding has damaged bridges and roads, making travel extremely difficult, we are relieved to share that all of our friends and properties are safe.
Over the next few weeks, the country will be assessing the full extent of the damage. However, we know the incredible resilience of our Honduran communities and their determination to recover and rebuild.
We kindly ask you to keep their efforts in your thoughts and prayers in the months ahead as they work toward restoration.
Celebrating Dr. Euceda’s Achievement!
We are thrilled to celebrate Dr. Manuel Euceda as he completes his medical studies and begins his residency journey! Dr. Euceda is the first recipient of the Eduardo Dubon Memorial Scholarship to graduate, and we couldn’t be prouder of his remarkable accomplishment.
From a young age, Manuel dreamed of becoming a doctor. Despite facing numerous challenges along the way, his perseverance and determination have led him to this incredible milestone. Your generous support of the scholarship made this possible.
Let’s continue empowering future scholarship recipients like Dr. Euceda. Consider making a donation to the Eduardo Dubon Memorial Scholarship Fund today and help turn more dreams into reality.
Exciting Updates for the Limón Clinic!
While we miss having mission teams visit during the winter months, we’ve been using this time to focus on important repairs and maintenance for our facilities. This winter, we’re thrilled to announce that the Limón clinic roof is being replaced!
In addition to the new roof, our dedicated Maintenance Committee will travel down in January to install updated exhaust fans. These quieter, more efficient fans will help keep each room cool and comfortable by venting out the hot air.
It’s shaping up to be a productive and exciting winter! Stay tuned for more updates as these projects unfold.
Exciting New After-School Program in Limón
We’re excited to share that with support from a French organization, community members have launched an after-school program at the Comunion H building! This program is making a positive impact, welcoming 25–40 students each day from 1:30–5:30 PM for homework help, skill-building, crafts, and recreational activities.
The best part? Every child in the community is welcome to join!
We’re incredibly grateful for the dedication of the organizing committee, whose efforts are providing children in Limón with extra education and emotional support to guide them toward healthy decisions. With a little additional help, this program has the potential to do even greater things for the community.
Filling the Pharmacy & Making a Difference
We are beyond excited to share the progress of our Fill the Pharmacy fundraiser—it’s been a tremendous success so far, with 50% of our goal already reached!
Now, with Giving Tuesday just around the corner on December 3rd, we’re confident that, with everyone’s support and hard work, we’ll hit 100% by the end of the day!
This effort isn’t just about fundraising—it’s about creating more opportunities for mission teams to make a difference. By raising funds for essential medications, we’ll be able to lower team fees, opening the door for even more people to join mission trips to Honduras. It’s an inspiring way for all of us to come together because we are One Team, One Mission!
You can become part of this incredible journey by sharing the information every day before Giving Tuesday. Let’s fill that thermometer and fill the pharmacy together!
