The Selley Team is currently in Honduras. They are having a good, yet hot, week. Please pray for their safe completion of their trip and safe travels home.
The Rowe/Bowie team leaves for Honduras on June 12 and will return on the 19th. The Sean & Loreili Rowe Team will leave June 21 and return the 28th. Please keep their travel safety in your prayers. Please pray that they are led to help those in the greatest need at the time they most need help.
Praise God for the safe and quick arrival of the container that our second half of the year medications were shipped on. Staff from Limón will go to LaCeiba next week to sort and pack it for the upcoming teams. The refrigerated storage unit is such a blessing – next year we will be able to store the entire year of medication in a climate controlled setting!
Patients were blessed last month to have an eye surgeon join the mission team. He was able to give patients back their sight and helped uncover some opportunities to help correct vision issues. Please pray for the continued growth of vision opportunities to help our patients in Honduras. It is desperately needed.
Continue to pray for Hazmar, a 14-year-old boy who has waited over 5 years for his second surgery to fix a congenital heart defect. He is a strong young man with a great future. His patience will be rewarded. His preop appointment was moved to June – so please pray for no more complications to get him to surgery.
We received a call last week about a donation of several boxes of cleaning supplies that will get shipped to Honduras this fall. Praise God for volunteers who are working to find donated supplies and medications for our teams to use while at the clinic. Volunteers who are able to connect us with donations are vital to the growth of the mission.
We’ve begun the journey to fix the roof of the clinic in Limón. It is past the point of repair and needs to be replaced. Please pray for the contractor to find the materials needed at a good cost, and for his team to see it in their hearts to help with the work at a reduced rate.
Please pray for wisdom for our board and other key stakeholders as we begin to create a new 5-year strategic plan, and as we make decisions and plan for the long-term future of the mission. This is vital to fundraising, overall growth, and sustainability – and most importantly, impacting the health of the community in Honduras.
