What a difference a year makes! Last October, Katerin was struggling to walk due to a club foot. After waiting nine long years for a correction—something that isn’t prioritized medically in Honduras—her dream came true because of you.
It was your help that made it possible for Katerin and her mother to travel the eight long hours to Tegucigalpa for a consultation and surgery with a mission organization. Thanks to your generosity, Katerin left the hospital in a bright pink cast, from hip to toe, but filled with relief knowing her surgery was successful. And in January, she took her very
first step—an unforgettable moment!
None of this could have happened without you. Since last year, Katerin and her mom have made that eight-hour journey five times for follow-up visits and to receive a splint. With transportation costs at $235 per trip, her family could have never afforded it. But you stepped in, showing her the love and care she needed to stand on her own two feet.
