Unfortunately, we have had to postpone returning to Honduras in-person because of the increase of Covid-19 both in the US and in Honduras. However, we will still be able to serve because of Virtual Teams.
Virtual Teams work similarly to in-person teams. Two providers work at one time seeing patients. A pharmacist works virtually in the pharmacy to oversee prescriptions. Nurses and other helpers scribe or provide patients education. All brought to you by technology!
It’s not the same as being there, we understand that. But Virtual Teams allow us to continue patient care during a time when it’s impossible to travel. In addition, it shows the community they are not alone. We have not forgotten them. We stand by our commitment to continue providing for them even during the most difficult times.
Those intangibles are priceless!
